The more we understand that we have been negotiating -- or trying to negotiate -- all of our lives, the better we will get at it.
The better we get at it, the more we will get what we want.
The more we get what we want, the more we will change and rebalance the world.
Life is a negotiation and the female half of the human race has been “lumping it”, accommodating, or deferring for too long. It is a deep conditioning of both men and women that has come from 6000 years of patriarchy. We must shift this dynamic if we are to be truly equal citizens on this planet.
For women to fully step into our leadership and power requires excellent negotiation skills. Indeed, it is through mastery of the art and science of negotiation that we will dismantle patriarchy – one negotiation at a time.
Students of negotiation will tell you that learning negotiation concepts, tools and techniques is fun, life-changing and warrants significant study and practice, no matter what stage of the game we are at. It’s something you never stop getting better at.
